Do you like your job?

(Anonymous) 2018-07-20 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Why or why not?

Nope.

Not what I would have chosen in life. Also, encourages a sedentary lifestyle, which is very unhealthy and of which I'm feeling the effects more lately. But now I'm too old to pursue what I actually want.

No - it’s hard on my body, I’m underpaid, and in the last two weeks I had to work over 100 hours and only was able to take a lunch break a couple times.

I love the job I've been working at for 8 months. Then again, my previous job was hellish. Better hours, closer to home, benefits, and the management actually care about their employees.

Yes. Granted, it's not what I set out to do but it pays well enough, has benefits, and i like my coworkers and bosses for the most part. Ive certainly had my share of shitty jobs, my current job is not one of them, thank God.

Yes. It is absolutely not what I aimed for and it doesn't use my degree but for health reasons I got to a point where I doubted I'd be able to work period. My current job gives me 12 hours a week in small shifts that I can manage. It is a good group of people and when I walk out the door I leave all the stress from it behind me.

Nope.

I take inbound billing calls.

Insurance is decent but it doesn't pay enough and I'm sick of people yelling at me for doing my damn job because they don't like my answers. Probably wouldn't be so bad if the customers didn't get to fill out surveys and I wasn't graded on it like a middle school child. I cry every day before my shift.

I like it about as much as someone can like retail. Most of my coworkers are great. As are my bosses. But customers can be so terrible sometimes...

I do. It pays well for what it is (retail), has consistent/decent hours, and my coworkers are great. It's also within walking distance of where I live so I save huge amounts of money on transportation costs. Our customers are pretty awesome too, I've only had a few bad experiences in the nine months I've been there.

That's awesome! Happy for you, nonny!
