do you want to explain the dozens of other pedo jokes he made as well, or can we just agree that this type of thing, posted repeatedly, by someone who is not a dumb teenager but a grown adult, shouldn't be considered acceptable and deserves a reaction?

i get that he apologised, but, y'know, an apology isn't a magic blanket fix – sometimes when you play stupid games, you win more stupid prizes than you originally thought you might.

All I did was comment on the specific example that you yourself chose to post.

I'm not saying that his humor was necessarily in good taste, I think it deserved an apology (and it got one, six years ago). I'm not sure that firing him was a proportionate response - and if it is a proportional response, I think there ought to be some questions about why Disney hired him for it in the first place.

Yeah, but when you apologize to the company you're working for, and they accept it, it's kind of bullshit that years later they take it back because some jackhole on the internet pulled the receipts on him.
