I have a friend who was molested by a family member when she was a child. Today, she told me that she's finally going to get help for what happened to her and called RAINN to see what resources they can offer her. I've already told her that I love and support her and I'm here for anything she needs, but is there anything else I can do to help? She said she was going to look into art therapy and I wanted to get her some art supplies, but would that be too much or too weird?

I think that would be a nice gesture. Art therapy helped my wife, though her circumstances for needing were very different. I hope it helps your friend.

I think that's a very nice idea. It shows that you support her and are there for her, and specifically it shows you support what SHE wants to do. Also, art supplies are just a nice thing in general.
