I've put a lot of thought into this, actually. Melkor is extremely dominant most of the time, though he occasionally likes to sub. Mairon, however, has more experience (as in, he has experience, Melkor has no pre-Mairon experience). And Mairon is more creative and the one with the ideas. His need for praise in adoration comes out as a need to please when it comes to sex. He can get off on pleasuring someone else even if he isn't touched at all. At the same time, he's selfish and demanding, so he always makes sure he gets everything he wants in bed. But mostly he's just creative and enthusiastic and loves pleasure and sex. He's all about indulging both himself and his partner. So they've probably tried everything at least one, and Mairon was almost certainly the one who suggested it.

Also, I pair Thor with nearly everyone. But no matter who I pair him with, I think he'd be just as enthusiastic with sex as he is with everything else in life. I think he'd be the try-anything sort, and he wouldn't be too particular about roles or positions. He's just all about sex being fun for everyone involved.
