A lot of things. That's one of the biggest reasons I love scifi and fantasy: that sense of awe of a fictional world. The biggest I guess would be the first time I saw a Star Wars movie and the first time I saw Fellowship of the Ring.

I remember being amazing by Mulan as a kid. When I left the theater my eyes hurt because I didn't blink the whole time.

Mad Max: Fury Road of visually awesome. I wish I could see it on the big screen again.

Seeing Lion King of Broadway was probably my favorite media experience ever.

It's been 20 years and I still get chills when Mulan is sitting out in the rain and she realizes what she has to do to save her dad. THAT SYNTH MUSIC.

Mulan freaking blew me away when I saw it as a kid. Parts of it still give me the chills.

2001: A Space Odyssey. I saw it when I was fairly young so a lot of the philosophy and themes went over my head but it was so unlike any movie I’d ever seen at that point, and the visuals were so powerful (not just the ending star gate stuff, but things like the astronauts touching the Monolith on the Moon, the sequence of HAL cutting off the astronauts’ life support, David unplugging HAL as he’s singing) it just left me stunned and full of ideas. That was the movie that really turned me on to sci fi.

Yeah, a number of sci-fi and fantasy movies. The first Star Wars movie, for sure. More recently (;p), Blade Runner 2049, the Shape of Water. Stranger Things. Handmaid's Tale. Killing Eve. ETA MM:FR.

Kodo (a troupe of taiko drummers).

The Warp trilogy at Organic Theatre.

Bowie in the Elephant Man.

Stranger Things had some really great moments.

I think part of it was that I had low expectations, so the things that were quietly skillful knocked me over.

Also Millie Bobbie Brown.

I forgot two. Battle of the Bastards and the opening of Winds of Winter as well. Light of the Seven is such an amazing piece of music

The Force Awakens/The Last Jedi. I'm not a SW fan but I really liked both.

Star Wars. I was ten, it just fucking blew me away. I could not open my eyes wide enough. That first movie- that first time watching it - will never not be awesome in my memory.

Currently - The Expanse. It is *magnificent*.
