Wat. Like... you never have any thoughts ever about anyone? As long as OP is keeping their thoughts to 'themselves', ie not harassing the person in question like crazy SPN fans do to Jared and Jensen...

Of course they do. It's just that call out culture has made it very popular for people to scold other people for behavior that, while it's not great, doesn't actually harm anyone. Thoughtcrime, basically. The hypocrisy doesn't matter. It's the tiny thrill of being able to briefly consider themselves morally superior to those awful fans who have speculative thoughts about famous people.

Thoughts are rude now? I mean yeah I guess objectively they could be, like... thinking most of my coworkers are useless fuckwits is kind of rude (even if it's true), but I don't go to them and say, "You're a useless fuckwit." so it seems unnecessary to get all up in arms and judgey about my thoughts.
