I like avocado (or did, before I started having an allergic reaction to it) and that sandwich sounds disgusting. Avocado is great when it's combined with a variety of other textures like in sushi. Mayo, avocado, and cheese is just fatty mushy disgustingness.

I could see it working if it was on really good bread, and only a little mayo, and a sharp cheese. But it's definitely a high degree-of-difficulty sandwich. Especially when a BLAT is just as easy to make.

Mayo is gross in general. I know I've said this here before. I get so tired of repeatedly telling deli people I don't want any. eurgh.

IA, and I love avocado. I wouldn't combine it with mayo at all because it's already fatty/creamy enough, and even though I love cheese... IDK, I don't like the idea of avocado/cheese. IMO it does best with at least one acidic component, like lemon juice or lime juice to contrast with its texture and the fat. One of my favorite lunches is avocado mashed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, lime juice and chopped onion on wholegrain bread.
