...Are you actually in fandom? Tony gets a hell of a lot of hate for what happened in Civil War.

Are you? Tony gets worshipped to hell and back in this fandom. Half the Marvel tag posts on tumblr are about poor woobie Tony and how perfect he is and how he's the backbone of everything ever. Hell, IronStrange is a ship built on the foundation of Strange beating or roasting the shit out of Steve for being mean to poor Tony in CW.

And the other half are about poor woobie Steve and Bucky and how perfect they are and how Tony is basically as bad as Hydra for snapping in CW.

I'm sorry most of fandom thinks your fave made a dumbass decision, but stop pretending he's the only character ever to be criticized for dumbass decisions, because that's just straight up bullshit.

Imagine trying to act like you're persecuted when you're a fucking Tony stan, the most popular character ever. You guys really do live in another universe.

Yeah, sadly I see more of that side of fandom. The Tony Stark love is spooky -- but it's very US-American, for sure. He was explicitly created as arms-dealer trust-fund baby capitalist to the crowds, and look at how that played out. You can see what kinds of people like Tony Stark: http://blog.heartland.org/2014/08/iron-man-the-ultimate-capitalist-fantasy/

(I actually like Tony as a flawed, dark character; I hate him as a glorified woobie. His his stans are scary for real-world reasons, see above.)
