But sure, go with finding the casual use of the word "gay," which can be an umbrella term, as more important than explicit confirmation in another interview that they're keeping it open to interpretation.

But other people did before the staff even said he liked men, and their fun is in fact more important than a fictional character's alleged sexual orientation. If you're one of THOSE who thinks it's the same as saying a real gay person who has confirmed themselves to be gay might not actually be gay, get your ass back to tumblr with the rest of the kids who don't understand how most human beings manage to separate fiction from reality.
