Way to be presumptuous. I "get" the move just fine. She was different and he saw something in her and she felt she never fit in the world and the implication she was like him with the gills and the water masterbation etc... I'm talking about in terms of a character he was literally nothing worth falling in love with. No personality. No real humanization. it was about as shallow as twilight and to call it some ooooh great love story is stupid.
