IA and it's really frustrating, and honestly kinda symptomatic of Big 2 comics more generally, that so much time & energy is focused on macho Wolverine And Scott BS

I agree in the comics. In the movies, I firmly ship her with Scott.

I used to ship Jean/Scott in the comics but time has soured me really badly to it, mostly because Jean was used as a thing for them to fight over for so long.

I still think their X-Men: Evolution counterparts are cute af and somehow less stupid than their older comic-book counterparts. Also no weird-ass love-triangle with two teenagers and an adult probably helps as well.

Oh man, Evo was SUCH a breath of fresh air for erasing that love triangle. Of course, they made one between Jean/Scott/Rogue, but that managed to be surprisingly subtle and poignant.

Yeah, Logan/Scott all the way! (Mystique ships it)

Your secret is making me realize one of the reasons that I disliked Jean Grey (besides her having godlike powers as Phoenix and her already Prof X next gen level mind powers). It really bothered me that these two were obsessed with her, and as a result, I never really felt like I got to know her as a character. I always just thought she was annoying (what did they like? her beauty? her power?) and their triangle would detract from the main story. Also, I've been a Logan/Mystique shipper and it's always been so onesuded; I feel bad for mystique.

full disclosure: my X-Men were the cartoons & LAmovies
