I thought Jim did have a son in the comics. I'm pretty sure, at least, in The Long Halloween he had a kiddo named James.EDIT: Someone with a vastly superior icon has confirmed this before me. Sorry for the double post!(Not that I don't think it was a little... interesting in the bad sort of way that they really shafted Babs in TDK.)
