HELL YES! I agree 100%.

When she was finally shown; I screamed, I flailed, I grabbed my friend and was like, "OMG! LOOK! IT'S BATGIRL!" And then...that was it. We barely even got a good look at her face. Bleh. -_-;

Babs is Jim Gordon's niece/adopted daughter, and I believe she came to live with him after his divorce (The wife got Jim Jr, faceless!girl!child was nonextant). So depending on which way they go with this, the movie-verse may redeem themselves.

Yes, I understand that it might not be 100% current canon-accurate, but I still hate that Babs was completely overshadowed in the movie. The Nolan movies, while quite awesome, have a terrible habit of downplaying or overshadowing the awesome ladies of Batman. Having Babs there instead of the son would have been an awesome nod to the Batman canon, and make more sense in the movie narrative, opening it up to having awesome ladies that the movies currently lack. (Harley and Ivy in the next movie plz!)

You don't need to go to every comment that expresses an opinion on this secret to "correct" them.

I was attempting to facilitate some discussion, correction was not my intention.

While it would have been awesome to have the girlchild be named, I was trying to point out that unlike some of the other female characters who were completely fubar-ed in this movie, there is still room, in the bounds of current canon, for Babs to show up and be awesome. Jim Jr did exist in comics, and I thought his presence was a nice nod. I'll be happy if the next movie mentions Jim's divorce or the death of his sibling/arrival of his niece.

I'm just trying to make sure that people know there is still hope for a proper appearance for Barbara. I apologize if you think I've gone around this the wrong way.
