If anyone does call you a misogynist (or you see someone else being called one for a similar opinion) I hope you tell them to go and look the damn word up.

Fun fact: you can dislike a female (person, or character) without being a misogynist. Particularly in this case, when you have a a justification for disliking the character that doesn't appear to have anything to do with her gender. I wish people who called themselves 'feminists' would stop pulling the M word out at every opportunity. They're making the rest of us look like raging idiots.

I wish that people would just stop with putting the terms feminist and feminism in inverted commas. It comes across as the type-face equivalent of holding the concept of gender equality at arms length, between finger and thumb, and wrinkling your nose.

Maybe my expectations are a little high, but if someone identifies as a feminist, I expect them to have an understanding of both the theory and the associated vocabulary. I keep finding people who call themselves feminists, but struggle to show an understanding of either. Hence the inverted commas.

And, to be honest, given the context in which I apply the inverted commas, you're right - I do want to be kept at an arms length from those people.
