Carol was interesting before they rebooted her to be captain marvel. I miss trainwreck alcoholic Miss Marvel before they turned her into peak bastion of boring white feminist most progressive character ever with shit writers.

Saaaaaaaaame. But the thing I hate most is the promotional/editorial push to make her The Most Amazing Heroine That Everyone Looks Up To. It totally works for Kamala Khan who is a giant fangirl anyway (and also it got more complex as the series went on) but making Carol some kind of Cap-like moral authority superstar is just so not the interesting parts of her character.

It's also dumb to treat her as the most progressive thing ever when two of the three previous Captain Marvels were women. One who was a lesbian and the other was black yet somehow cishet white Carol is more progressive than either.
