This comment looks weirdly racist, but I happen to think Daniel Kaluuya played him in a way that was purposefully a bit off-putting -- he played extremely likable characters in skins uk, The Fades, and of course Get Out (especially the last one...HOMG). As in, the other shows and movies make sure from the get-go that he's an affable dude, and Kaluuya delivers. In Black Panther, he did not project that warmth.
