He could be a good boyfriend but still a lousy entertainer. They're pretty different skill sets!

And it's much easier to be super funny/charming in person, when you're sharing energy with someone and bouncing ideas back and forth, than in any pre-recorded medium. If she thinks he's funny, it doesn't mean she has ZOMG terrible taste, or that she's right and you just don't get it. It means she encounters him in a really different context that's more flattering that the final product that makes it into her videos.

otoh just having different taste from her doesn't mean you wish her ill, either. I think most people have wished their favorite creatives made different decisions from time to time.

I get it, but I have to say that of all the standup specials I've watched in the past month or two, hers is the only one I a) viewed all the way to the end b) can remember anything about and c) might even watch again.

I really like the movie and I think it's a good movie, but it is not perfect. The kids do actually seem like kids in it and it is a pretty good adventure, but it could use a little more editing. That said, you're probably right about Sloth.
