Man, I’m not gay, but I grew up in a more or less agnostic household, and I can’t wrap my head around thinking “gayness” (being attracted to the same gender, having sex with someone of the same gender, some other broader category?) being disgusting unless you were just sex-repulsed in general. Consenting adults, who aren’t in relationships with other people, having sex with other consenting adults aren’t hurting anyone. What other people feel for each other and do with their bodies isn’t my business.

I'm sex-repulsed and I have no issues with gay people or gay romance. I happily read/write slash fic (just without smut or I skip over it when I'm reading).

I can't wrap my head around why anyone cares what someone else is doing with their life, whether that person is gay, trans, straight, asexual, etc.

Same. It makes zero sense to me why anyone gives a damn who someone else has sex with/dates/loves/marries/whatever.
