Sure, I could see that, too. But what's so wrong with Fay-ruh? I mean, I could see it being valid given 'genre' or 'Deirdre', both of which are pronounced with two syllables and the 'e' having an 'uh' sound.

Oh imo there's nothing wrong with it ending up as 'fay-ruh'.
