Unfortunately, no. Often it was an issue of geography, but also I was a late comer to LJ and am not on tumblr, and I've never been good at using Facebook (and I'm hesitant to connect my RL with fandom anyway), so I don't really have a permanent social media presence. That means when I make a fandom friend and one of us drifts away from the fandom we drift away from each other.
