At this point, they've been living together for years so it's not like they're going to get weirded out by each other's weird foreign ways.

Where does the secret say anything about getting weirded out by each other's foreign ways?

(Anonymous) 2018-08-11 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
That may be an exaggeration, but I don't see how him being British can can be a plot point with regards to how he relates to Joan when they each already know how the other thinks. OP needs to provide examples.

Or does OP just want more British-ness in general and it's not really about how Sherlock and Joan relate?

I don't think it'd have to be a major plot point, though. Like I said, Joan and Sherlock have different approaches to how they do things that compliment one another. They're two very different people, united in their purpose. I don't think it's out of the question to suggest that cultural differences could be a subtle part of that contrast.

Specific examples?

I'm not entirely sure why, but your query really rubs me the wrong way, as though you think I owe you proof of something. It's not at all unusual for a TV viewer to express interest in a general theme without providing specific scenarios they want to see. In fact, the latter would be more unusual.

There's a lot of room between two people exploring cultural differences and how they work toward the same goal and being "weirded out by each other's weird foreign ways". Any examples that would fit the theme I'm interested in would fall in that territory.
