Sometimes I think there would be a lot less bisexual hate if bisexuals didn't fucking complain about everyone hating them and misunderstanding them all the time, and if some of them would get rid of their 'I love both genders without discriminating, oh, if only everyone were like me' attitudes. Obviously there are awesome bisexuals out there in the world, and I'm not saying all of them are like that. I just keep encountering ones that are like that, and maybe those kind of people should look at the way they're pissing others off before whining about prejudice.

I agree a little with the secret, but I hate that whenever sexuality is discussed people get all 'holier than thou'. Not cool, imho.

Sorry to hear that. I guess it's like religion or politics or anything else: The ones who are blatently loudmouthed and self-righteous about it get all the attention and make things harder for the ones who have the sense to know it's not a big fucking deal and get on with things.

ugh, hate hate HATE. "Love knows no gender!" "I don't discriminate!" Uh, some people are attracted to only one sex/gender, and that's just how we are. We don't do it to be discriminating jerks, but thanks for implying that and touting your sexuality as The Best Ever.

AFAIK 'Love knows no gender' is a direct response to the assumption that love only exists between partners of the opposite sex, and that homos only feel filthy lust.

Oh, yeah, I've definitely seen it used that way, and that doesn't bother me as much. But I've seen it also used as a badge when it's entirely irrelevant in the way I previously mentioned, and that is irritating.

I use it for when people are getting pissy with me for not picking. It's like guys, why do I have to?

Doesn't mean I'm better, just means that my brand of sexuality doesn't particularly care WHAT bits you were born with.

Yeah, no, that's legit and doesn't bother me. :D But I have seen people use it, unprompted or towards other G/L folks. It's very, very few, though, and I would never use it in a ~this is why bisexuals get picked on~ way.

I know some bisexuals do get a lot of shit without reason, and that must suck. I'm not blaming them. I just pointed out something that has been bothering me lately, personally, that some people have been doing. In lesbian communities I'm in, it seems like some girls purposely try to bait people into saying something about bisexuals just to cause drama out of it, and I hate that.

INFORMATION: "I didn't say they're ALL like that," is part and parcel of aforementioned victim-blaming rants.

Try again, fail less.
