I just woke up so my apologies if I'm taking this the wrong way, but is that some thinly veiled sarcasm right there?

Frankly, some of the events from last season make me wonder if it hasn't jumped the shark already, at least for me personally. Whereas during season one I couldn't wait for the next episode to air, during season two it became something of an obligation. If the same turns out to be true of the third season then I'll probably drop it. But I'm still willing to give that first episode a chance.

Is there something like partial shark-jumping? S2 just polarized the show more for me. I liked my favourite characters even more (mostly Mohinder and Matt...), and realized that I am really fond of others that I had been neglecting in S1, such as Niki (which made S2 heart-breaking in places). But Peter and Nathan have more or less jumped the shark for me.
Really... I think there are some characters who are written well, others who are written horribly. That's probably a question of perspective. It's probably unavoidable, to some extent, for an ensemble show with many different characters and storylines. As long as there are still characters I love and whose storylines I enjoy, it's okay.
