AYRT—I’m looking at places along highway 1 north of Santa Rosa, which have escaped so far. *knock wood*

I have family in Santa Rosa and sort-of family in Healdsburg and while it's gorgeous, you definitely need a car to get around and the general region didn't exactly escape unscathed from fires last autumn.

/loving it here in less-flammable southeastern Wisconsin

NAYRT and OT, but if you were going on vacation to Wisconsin, where would you go? Asking for a friend...

Hmm, I've never actually been on a vacation in Wisconsin, but I have traveled around the state for work. Door County is a popular vacation destination and it's pretty country. I also really like the Driftless Area in the southwestern part of the state. Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin is down that way and I've been wanting to visit that place for a long time.
