(Anonymous) 2018-08-15 08:43 am (UTC)(link)Sometimes I wonder if it's just because I love Stranger Things and I, Tonya since their flashbacks are basically 80's nostalgia + figure skating insanity, but the performances of the sisters at both ages are fucking great and when we learn *SPOILER* that the stupid glass joke originated from neither of them but another nice waitress that worked with them (there's something about her being black that adds to it too, maybe as simple as Jenji pointing out the history of whites stealing culture from black people) that really put a nice bow on it. Their ends at each other's hand as everyone else just decide to play kickball is damn poetic.
I could watch a whole mockumentary true crime miniseries about them, honestly.
