I see this so much and while sure it may POSSIBLY have a point in probably .01% cases, usually it's some bullshit emotional argument to hide that fact that someone's losing.

Get an actual argument. If this is all you have left to fall back on, you've already lost. It's essentially smoke and mirrors for a failing act.

I think the proportion of times when it has a point is way higher than that. Like... probably 30%.

But it's definitely suuuuuuuuuper annoying the times when they don't have a point. You shouldn't use it unless you're real sure it applies. High risk strategy.
