I've had that happen a lot. I also have a habit of hating something in the moment, crossing it out, and coming back later to see it looks good!

We get really caught up in our projects.

Yeah, this. I've written and posted stories, thinking they were fine or good, then read them again a couple of days later and thought they were terrible, then read them again a couple of weeks or months later and thought no, actually, they really were fine. Even good. I guess some of it is your mood on the day, some of it is you noticing small mistakes you skimmed past when writing, some of it is realising that the rhythm and mood are good even if the technique might not be. Different things you notice each time. It's really hard to be objective about your own work when you're so involved with it.

Mostly I just say post them anyway. You never know how other people are going to react or what it looks like outside your own head until you actually put it outside your own head.

And if it genuinely is bad, well, just make another one later and hope that's better.
