As do a lot of fans, I've gathered. I don't mind the Shards storyline and I really liked seeing Ember on her own, even if the quality wasn't the best. But Final Quest is just so bad on so many levels that only loyalty to the story made me not drop it.

What's the biggest problem? Is everyone out of character by now or is the plot awful?

Honestly, it's a toss-up between the story being badly told, and some really whacked-out plot twists. There are plenty of less important problems (art, subplots, what the hell was that ending), but the plot is definitely the main one.
