Aw, I totally sympathize with that reaction. I remember an incident once where my mom came home in tears after she dealt with some truly horrible customers that kept her at the store she worked at way past closing time (thus causing her to miss her usual bus home and having to take a late one), and I've worked retail and had a few nasty customers that totally threw off my mood and got to me as well. There's some truly shitty people out there-I think a lot of people would react similarly in your situation. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, but I'm glad that at least everyone else was understanding and let you take a needed break.
