Carrie Fisher was a washed out star who who hadn’t done anything relevant in the industry until returning to SW for fanboy nostalgia reasons. Even Hamill had more of a career doing voice over work for cartoons. It’s not like Will Smith using his clout and getting his kids work.

Dude, she wrote bits for the Oscars or the Emmys one time. Her mom was in one of them and she had the line "Who writes this crap!" and Carrie Fisher came out on stage. I saw it while it was happening live a long time ago.
