DRAGONCON!!!!

I haven't been there in 15 years. I'm prepared for the crowds and the schedule, now, and we've been saving up for this for two years. My costumes are almost done. I can't wait to just go out there, party, stare at all the cosplay, get good photos, go to the aquarium...oh and party.

I'm bringing seven costumes. XD but then Dragoncon is basically go hard or go home for cosplayers. I'm doing Assassin's Creed, One Piece, Dynasty Warriors, and Harry Potter...oh and we've got original pirate costumes based on cocktails. I'm Pina Colada, I have a white pirate coat with pineapple lining, it's so lovely I can't wait to sashay around in it.

I’ve always kind of wanted to go to DragonCon, but hearing that cosplay is such a big deal makes me really want to go. SDCC is my local con, but for such a huge behemoth, it’s weird how cosplay has gotten less and less popular there over the years.

heh, well, if you're used to SDCC then I'm sure the crowds won't be a problem at all!

there are no less than 8 contests if that's your thing, but between the parade, the costume balls (plural) and the giant photoshoots, there's so much for a cosplayer to do no matter what fandom they're in. I'm looking forward to just basking in the atmosphere.
