It sounds weird but this movie really affirmed for me the genuine femininity of the Wachowski sisters, it was like watching all of my own tweenage girly fantasies played out in front of me.

Never thought I'd see such earnest portrayals of a sexy cyborg angel-dogboy and ancient intergalactic corporate-feudal intrigue upended by reincarnation outside of a webcomics or maybe anime...

(Come to think of it I'm feeling a lot Inuyasha parallels in Jupiter and Caine's (heh, canine) roles...)(Also with Tenchi Masaki finding out he's actually a member of an imperial space dynasty of long-lived elites...)

Not that I had trouble accepting them as women, I actually think they're way better representation than Caitlyn, but it just felt really cool to know they probably had the exact same fantasies growing up.
