I have this itch on the nape of my neck. At first it oozed a bit, thankfully not anymore, but I can feel my skin flaking when I can't help but scratch, and it's been going on for weeks now. I've tried blindly everything I could think of to ease the itch and nothing worked. And of course, as it's on my neck, I can't even see what kind of lesion is here in the first place!

Can you take a picture? Even weird, crooked one could help.

If it persists for another week, go see somebody.

I have (had?) an ovarian cyst the size of my hand that slowly started to rupture and it still hurts a week later. I think it should be gone by now but it still fucking hurts. So I have no idea. :(

My period is getting near so my temper is flaring up even worse than normal, which is always fun. :\

Surprise intra-period bleeding. I should've known something was up when I was all fatigued yesterday, but it wasn't period time so I ignored it.

SURPRISE.

I’m pretty sick right now. I got an ear infection and got medicine for it (drops) and that seems to be going away but I’ve still been spiking a fever of over 101 consistently after my initial doctors appointment, and have swollen lymph nodes (on the opposite side as the infected ear). The doctor hotline I called basically said I probably have something else going on besides my ear but it could be basically anything, so I’m just waiting until the doctor’s office opens on Monday so I can go again.

ear infections lick elephant ass. I tend to get them.

I get so bloated during my period that none of my clothes fit and my bras end up really fucking uncomfortable to wear, but I can't go bra-less because I work at a school.

Turns out that I have large fibroids, which luckily haven't caused any symptoms. Now I'm waiting for a doctor's appointment so that they'll see if there's any need to do something.

My clubfoot decided to do some surprise attack muscle/tendon/bone pain evil today. I don't know what I did to cause it, and the particular area is SO deformed that it's difficult to really tell what's pissing it off so much.

We hates it, my precious.

Today has been terrible. Major cramping. Headache that made my eyes and teeth hurt. Nausea. Spent most of the day in bed.

My asthma has been flaring up bad, partly because I just moved and partly because of the wildfires smoking shit up. My doctor said she's seen almost all of her asthma patients this past week just because of how shitty the air quality has been.

My period is very irregular - it started yesterday, after a full three months of nothing. Now there's blood e v e r y w h e r e.

[also my gp wants me to get an ultrasound to check for pcos and I've been putting it off for like a month and a half :c I don't wanna but I really really should :c I don't wanna pay $150 to have someone stick an ultrasound wand up my business]

Re: TMI health thread

(Anonymous) 2018-08-20 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
That can be checked for with an external pelvic ultrasound. It's not comfortable because they press on your bladder and it has to be full, but I prefer not to have things shoved up my lady bits.

Re: TMI health thread

(Anonymous) 2018-08-20 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Man I wish my doctor would’ve taken me seriously when I asked about PCOS instead of telling me to stop eating dairy and processed food and seeing if my symptoms went away. I need a new doctor, but I don’t want my records full of notes about being a whiny demanding patient, or to get a new doc who ends up being worse. I went five months without a period once (as a virgin), have chest hair like Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, all kinds of weird shit, but I was fat so oh well.

I have a terrible fucking rash across my ass, balls, and thighs because the heat and humidity has been so brutal this past week and our hours have been so long. I've been walking around for the past few days smelling minty fresh from the powder I've been coating my junk in to try and stop some of the chafing and irritation.

2nd day of headache; it's only minimally responding to pills, so it's on "now you COULD get out of bed, but the moment you try to do something for more than five minutes, I'll be BACK" mode. :(

spotting after 14 months without a period. i'm terrified of going back to the gyno, the last time i had a pap smear it was so painful i begged them to stop. they did an ultrasound instead of the endometrial biopsy they wanted to do. my pcp was like 'yeah, the new procedure always hurts that much' and implied i was being a baby.
