I'm not overly invested in ships, but I have to say I prefer Finn/Rey if not simply because I LIKED the fact they avoided the usual "bickering to hide their feelings" dynamic that's so central to pairings like Han/Leia. Also, I can't shake the feeling that Rian Johnson didn't really care that much about either one of these characters or their subplot, so he threw in a romance as a desperate attempt to give it a little something extra.

Also, it's pretty clear that John Boyega wasn't feeling it. His baffled face in this scene was hilarious.

I'd have to watch it again but iirc it was a hilariously chemistry-free kiss. I'm not sure either of them was feeling it.

Possibly also because the actress herself is shipping Stormpilot lol.
