Find a friend who's like me. I prefer to watch my wife playing than playing myself. I'm affectionately referred to as "guide bitch."

Ah! I have great memories of playing through the Breath of Fire series and worldbuilding/talking out all the traveling scenes between characters with my sibling as a kid. And when playing through Resident Evil 2, my mom would stop whatever she was doing and watch; she would always remind me about which puzzle pieces were where in the RCPD building. “Don’t forget that there’s an extra box of ammo in the lab, sweetie!” Or “Oh! This is the door for that key you got from the plant-monster, honey!” “Oh, are you back to playing as the boy? When do you get to play as that nice girl again? Is she okay?” XD

Having a game-friend for single player games is awesome. <3 I miss it.

It's great being that friend, because I suck at games but I love the stories. Me and my wife wanna LP together with her doing the playing and me co-commentating one day because we do some ridiculous things together.

I watch hubby play all the time (I like some of the stories, but can't be bothered playing it myself) and I refer to myself as his spotter (he would definitely die a lot more/fail more quests without me)
