I'm starting a new one on my own soon rather than buying one already potted. Hopefully I won't accidentally murder it. I'm excited to to see what I can do with it.

I'm thinking an upright style to start. I want to learn more before I try making one grow over a rock.

I'm not sure what will be in stock when I go to the nursery yet. I've seen a few species I'd love to try. Japanese Maple, because I would have a big one if I had the room. My main problem is that I will probably want to buy all of the tiny trees. I want a miniature forest.
