If not, though, I'm totally with the OP of 153. The fandom explosion is going to be epic and gloriously lulzy.
166. It's not the "weak female characters" in fiction that made you feel this way; they're just one part of a much bigger picture of a society where all that is either female, feminine, or both is consistently valued less than that which is male or masculine. It's stupid, but that doesn't make it any less harmful.
That said, I hope you find a way out of that shame so you can be yourself, regardless of how butch or femme or whatever you'd like to be.
