I disagree with everything this secret says and everything it stands for. But at the same time, I think you are entitled to your opinions. Not sure why you think she's boring, but okay.

Ditto.

I liked Ant Man the most out of the Marvel movies... :(

I wouldn't say it is my favorite. But I do love Ant Man, and the Wasp is one of the best parts of those movies.

Wow I feel the opposite of this secret. But hey, you do you.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-22 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I disagree, but to each their own. :)

Absolutely incorrect. She's just as kick-ass as the others but she's actually a more well-rounded character than either Black Widow and Scarlet Witch.

Came here to say this.

I agree :(

The writing for the majority of the female characters in the MCU is bland, but I literally forgot about her character in the first movie when she wasn't on screen.

TBH I do find her pretty forgettable but it's hard to put my finger on why. They do a decent job of giving her her own emotional motivations and goals, like I really felt for her desire to reunite with her mother, but ultimately I don't feel like her personality is very multi-faceted, and I wouldn't say that about Natasha for example.

Who do you find interesting then.

(Anonymous) 2018-08-23 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, to each their own.

Personally though I love that she's a straight-laced female character who is NOT overly serious, or argumental. She gets focused on the job, but she never argues with Scott for no reason and they resolve things BEFORE continuing on developing their relationship, instead of going the trope route and fighting a lot before they randomly kiss.

All of them are rather boring and under-developed - Wasp isn't really any worse than others? After the second Ant-man film I would say that she's definately better-defined than Scarlett Witch whose main character seems to be "I love Vision" at the moment.

i didn't even remember her in the first movie, only in passing i remembered "ooohhh she had that hideous haircut" and that's it.

Loved her in the second one tho.

She's incredibly boring and underdeveloped, and I'm not a fan of how EL portrays her either. So, I hear you, OP.
