Looking thinner is not the end all be all of getting dressed. There's a lot to be said for wearing what makes you happy, regardless.

True. But unless you wearing a horizontal stripes that cover your entire body, they also make you look disproportionate. Maybe they could work for someone. I've just never seen it.

Clothes don't have to "work" in order to please the wearer. And being pleased in your clothes is the only fashion "should" I can get behind.

You're right. People can wear whatever they want. I'm just saying I'd never wear horizontal stripes and that I don't think they look good on anyone.
