I'm old enough to remember when fanfic writers would get cease-and-desist letters, so IA with what other people are saying. It'd be nice to make money off of my writing, but it still pings me as being ~illegal~ to do so.

I'm an old, so I definitely remember those. I know attitudes towards fanworks have changed over the years, but I wouldn't ever charge for a fic or ask for monetary support to keep writing fic as it would also feel "illegal" for me. Even if it was a crazy out there OOC AU, those characters are still not mine.
