I get that a lot of people on here hate Tumblr, and there's a long list of reasons that it's bad, but there are also reasons that almost everyone adopted it and that it beat out basically all its competitors. in fact, often the same factors that make it so annoying to use are also the reason that people like it.

it's not like someone made a wish and a genie overheard them and decided to make it happen
