You're welcome to your second-hand embarrassment, but you've chosen a pretty bad example of a cosplayer looking more plausible than the actual actor.

Given most of the comments to this secret are praise for the cosplayer in question, I'd say your opinion is in the minority

The cosplayer is attractive and has a well-done costume, which is more than enough reason to praise her.

She just also looks very much like a body builder (which is exactly what she is when she's not cosplaying), and not someone who has the sort of functional muscle you'd see on a trained fighter. She isn't any more plausible as Wonder Woman than Gal Gadot is, people are conflating an aesthetic they find preferable with actual realism.

nayrt but as someone into MMA and boxing, you do see bulky muscle on higher weight class women. And "fighter" is a little generic, as it depends entirely on the sport and the weight class in question.

Sure, bodybuilders don't necessarily look like how most prop fighters look, but most pro fighters do have muscle. A woman competing in a 110-pound weight class not only doesn't need it, she can't have it or she'll risk popping up to the next weight class.

You see muscle, yes. You don't generally see show muscle, because the muscle groups worked and the way you work them are entirely different for show than for function.

have you ever seen a comic book in your life?

all the male heroes have enormous muscles that are achieved only through steroid abuse and yet heroes like Superman don't even NEED muscles to be OP as fuck. it's ALL for show. most movie adaptations at least try to give their actors the illusion of being buff. why should WW be any different just because she's a woman?

anon was making a very different point than that, now you're just moving the goalpost

Because women still need to run around half naked and go into battle, while men get full body suits with molded parts that look like bulging muscle :/
