Well, but... it's not like the movie was attempting to be a serious historical thing, was it? So even though it's true that wearing period-appropriate clothing doesn't make you less feminist, I don't think it's a relevant point because there's no reason to care about wearing period-appropriate clothing in the first place. It's a modern movie.

I guess my take is that it's a personal thing for people to sort out how they feel about participating in, and her stance is clearly that she doesn't want to do it, and that's fine.

I think the opening scene in the castle was trying to recreate a historical vibe. Nothing else about it was historically accurate, though..

This. It was a fairy tale, not one set in any specific historical era. There's no reason to say that women had to be wearing corsets in that universe.
