Watson making a point about not wearing a corset maaaaay have had something to do with the fact that the previous live action Disney princess had mentioned in interviews that during filming she had to eat lunch standing up and even then couldn't eat a full meal due to her very tight corset.

That would've been terrible to endure, I agree. But Watson made the mistake a lot of people in this thread are making by assuming that ALL corsets are like that. They weren't.
