One of the worst examples of this that I've seen is where members of one support group were bashing members of another support, accusing them of being toxic and clinging to the victim mentality while abusing others.

I'm like... really, guys? Nevermind that what they were describing was neither an everyday nor common occurrence (though it did happen). I don't even mind that they condemned such behavior, it was the unwarranted generalizing of the entire sub. I could only laugh at the irony a few days later when someone popped up in the first support group and started lashing out at anyone who would stop short of coddling them. Of course, I didn't post my reaction. Now THAT would have been toxic.
