As someone not in the fandom, I'm finding the whole thing amusing, specially as it's obvious that if they were to make canon a slash ship (which it's not going to happen anyway), it clearly wouldn't be Klance.

Anyway, it's a show for children. People discussing it as if it was the most serious, perfect show ever is hilarious.

There was a canon gay ship (Shiro and Adam), but they broke up.

Yes, a canon ship with some degree of plausible deniability whose less than one minute long conversation even had an alternate not-homo audio recorded.

They might have confirmed that they were together, but it made obvious DW doesn't want non-straight ships on screen.

This. If they hadn't confirmed it offscreen, there would have been no way to know that Shiro and Adam were together. It's cool that they did confirm it, but I thought we were past the Dumbledore stage of representation.

yeah it was nice that they confirmed it, but for a majority of the audience they will never know because it was played so damn safe.

also they killed one of them off-screen so yay?
