137. I hadn't read that fic yet because the idea of them not meeting yet confused the fuck out of me. If they hadn't met, Simon wouldn't have snapped out of his funk, probably would have been an emo kid forever, would have died, or would have snapped out of it a different way, OR been kicked out of the gurren-dan and left for underground again or else just tagged along uselessly.

ALSO, she would be dead. Lord Genome would have discarded her in the box and left it there and she would have died like the rest of the princesses before her.

... But if it's good I might read it? Does the author end up EXPLAINING these things?

163. So. They can't RP characters they like because it means they have terrible choice in video games and are sheltered and should play *insert other VERY POPULAR video games here*??? Errr, okay. \(o_O)/ I don't even RP as KH characters and I think that's silly.

168. I kind of think the same? Like, I think it totally fucks up SO MUCH about the book, and then everyone is like "THE BOOK IS TERRIBLE, GO WATCH THE MUSICAL"??? I'm totally fine with them liking it, and even with them liking it MORE, but I like the book more, and while I do like the musical... I also think it totally... Should be UNRELATED to the books or something.

Simon became an aimless, almost crazy murderer that only fights for the pleasure of fighting and doesn't really care about saving Earth, which was actually destroyed during the fall of the Moon. He becomes cynical, never really distances himself from Kamina's shadow, without his own identiy and suffers from frequent depressive breakdowns.

Nia was saved by Coco-ji after her abandonment. She grew into an insecure girl that considers herself unworthy of being called human and, until the moment she awakened as the messenger, still imagined everyday what would it be like to being Genome's blissful daughter. The whole fic is a character analysis on Simon's and Nia's subtle yet beautiful development in the actual show and does an excellent job in telling its own very compelling story while including plenty of parallels and interesting statements about the canon characters. If you already love Simon and Nia's relationship, it will only make you love it more.

Oho! That is very good. Er, not trying to nit-pick, just stating opinions on the matter, sob I always thought there was something equivalent to Coco-ji for all the princesses, meaning wouldn't the old princesses have been rescued?

Still, now I'll totally read it, Nia and Simon are... *AAAAAA*

No, there's nothing wrong with someone playing Riku or Cloud. But it bothers me when someone plays Riku AND Cloud AND Axel AND Yuna AND Squall and never gives even a passing glance at anything else.

...though I get a bit jerkish when I get defensive against them myself.
But the "TheyChangedItNowItSucks" is just getting ridiculous.

But yes, seperate canon. Sounds great, sounds beautiful. Can we sign up a peace treaty on it or something and have all sides shake hands?

It's all explained in the first three chapters. :) Simon managed to snap out of his funk on his own (enough to keep fighting at least), but in a very unhealthy way, so he's gone a little insane and the trauma of losing Kamina still heavily affects him ten years later.

*AAA* Yeah, now I'm totally gonna read it! It sounds great.
