Umm...I get the singing thing, but more attractive? Are you wanting a non-Phantom Phantom? Read fanfic - because a lot of the crap fics romanticise the Phantom to the point that he isn't even a real character any more. ...which is the funny thing about Bulter and his sunburn scar...he was pretty for the audience that couldn't handle it.
