I found Haley to be intensely irritating.

I agree with the person who said everyone seems so platonic. I never had any romantic/sexual ships from this show.

Yeah, I'm surprised OP liked her. I really hate the trope of a character with an extremely demanding career having a "long-suffering" partner who constantly scolds them for spending too much time at work, especially when the writers clearly intend for us to agree that being devoted to your career (a career that involves you saving lives) is a character flaw.

nayrt - Oh god, I hate that trope, too. Especially because it's usually the girlfriend/wife who's painted as an unreasonably harpy bitch for daring to suggest that their partner could try for better work-life balance.

Yeah, and then it was super weird after she died and instead of Hotch retiring or moving into a supervisory position where his work hours would be more regular, Haley's sister was all "NO, DO YOUR IMPORTANT WORK, I WILL RAISE YOUR TRAUMATISED KID WHILE YOU OCCASIONALLY PLAY SOCCER WITH HIM".
