Re: Renaissance fairs

I feel it's kind of rude. I mean, she didn't even complain in a polite manner from what you described, which to me would have been rude but slightly less rude?

And yeah, in my experience most people don't go to renaissance fairs expecting 100% accuracy, and yes there is romanticization (totally not a word btw) in the same way there are for any era (look at people when it comes to the 50's/60's, etc), but I doubt someone who loves renaissance era clothing, etc, is thinking, "Wow I'd give up all my healthcare and free will to go back to this time period and die at the ripe old age of 34."
